YT Pak

Youtube Pakistan or better known as YT Pak is a replica of the original Youtube Website. It all started in the year 2008 when Youtube uploaded a video about the sketches of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H). This caused massive rage and disturbance to the whole Muslim Umma. They demanded the youtube be banned in Islamic Countries such as Pakistan. Soon, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority or better known as PTA  banned the website all over Pakistan. So many people came up with the idea to create a replica of Youtube so that people can access information and watch videos with filters so that they can get entertainment.

So the Website YTpak.pk was launched in the same year which is a replica of youtube. Though it has many bugs and faults of its own for the time being, it was a great alternative to Youtube.  People can watch videos and stream their favorite movies. Many people didn't like this replica website, so the thought to take option 2 which is a proxy server. A proxy server is a server that can give you access to the websites which are banned either locally or globally. Many hackers use the proxy server in order to bypass some security systems of an organization, but let's just leave it at that. Still, at that time, many computer programmers made different proxy servers which help people to access the original Youtube website and watch videos they like. Many Youtubers at that time in Pakistan face a lot of difficulties because they can't access Youtube and they can't upload the videos and if they use proxy servers, their video will get rejected many times. They were losing their subscriptions and a way of earning money. But still, they were trying to find methods to upload their content for their fans.

Though the ban on youtube has been removed by PTA, you can still access this website and watch the videos you like.
